Noise Ordinance Enforcement Concerns

I'm having ongoing issues with excessive noise from late-night parties in my neighborhood (near the university). These events often go on past 2 AM on weeknights with very loud music, making it impossible to sleep.
While I understand that we live in a lively town, the current noise ordinance seems to be inconsistently enforced. I have called the non-emergency line on several occasions with little to no effect. Could we have a clearer policy and more proactive enforcement, especially during the week?
A peaceful and quiet environment is crucial for the well-being of all residents.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand your frustration with disruptive noise, and we take these quality-of-life concerns seriously. Your complaint has been logged and shared with the Police Department's patrol commander for the university district to highlight the need for consistent enforcement of the existing noise ordinance ($114.02).
Additionally, the City Manager's office is working with Code Enforcement and the PD to review current enforcement protocols and determine if procedural updates are needed.
